Our core technology, embodied in Synthesys™ can be used to provide for the automatic categorization, linking, retrieval and profiling of unstructured data. Synthesys significantly extends the power of Knowledge Discovery tools and practices.  Using Synthesys, we have successfully built solutions for analyst systems, entity extraction and geotagging.

Analyst Systems: The management and analysis of unstructured data is recognized as one of the major unsolved problems in Information Technology. When it comes to the “messy” data that Intelligence Community (IC) analysts must sort through, most off-the-shelf tools and techniques simply don’t work. While analysts can leverage historical knowledge to support their work, intelligence generation is distinguished in its need to have a model of meaning that is dynamic and coupled to sources. It is only through this “emergent” semantic model that important “needles” are found in the first place. Only when they are pulled and related can the analyst move into producing intelligence products. Pulling those needles out of the mass of intelligence data is what intelligence generation software should do. We designed Interceptor™ to mirror the real analyst process of transforming diverse information into integrated intelligence.

Entity Extraction: Built within Synthesys is the powerful ability to extract and categorize the most important parts of a sentence.

Geotagging: Using the core technology embodied in Synthesys, we built GeoLocator™ a tool that extracts populated places from unstructured text (i.e. emails, instant messages, and other documents) and returns the extracted locations with their respective geo-coordinates. Furthermore, GeoLocator is a scalable service implemented as software – giving enterprises the flexibility to use the hardware and platforms of their choice.

Cloud Security: Additionally, we built a framework for greater Cloud Security, which provides a means to more rapidly deliver applications to analysts and other users. The Secure Container Framework (SCF) is the first complete sandbox solution for virtualized cloud infrastructures, and allows unaccredited applications to run in a trusted and locked-down environmenton servers and clients. Months of Information Assurance effort can be avoided – leading to savings and greater value across the enterprise.
